This turbocharged direct injection gasoline makes a top speed of 198 km / h. Combined consumption: 6.6 litres/100km (equivalent to 152 g / km CO2). In this configuration, the engine of Eos can be ordered with the BlueMotion technology. Consumption is reduced to 6.2 l/100 km (144 g / km CO2).

1.4 TSI 160 PS: For the next power level uses a Volkswagen 1.4-liter TSI Twincharger (turbo compressor). It delivers 118 kW / 160 hp. Speed ??VW Eos 1.4 TSI liters with this is 217 km / h. The Twincharger high torque (240 Nm at 1500 rpm) provides a comfortable ride at low speeds. Combined consumption: 6.8 l/100 km (157 g / km CO2).

2.0 TSI 200 hp and 210 hp: The most powerful gasoline engine available for the new Eos is the 2.0-liter TSI. In the U.S., which produces 147 kW / 200 hp, while Europe delivered 155 kW / 210 hp. The European version of direct injection engine with turbocharger develops a maximum torque of 280 Newton-meters from 1700 rpm. Maximum speed: 238 km / h. Combined consumption: 7.1 liters (165 g / km CO2). In Europe, Volkswagen will offer the dual clutch transmission (DSG) in the Volkswagen Eos 2.0 liter TSI engine as an option. The DSG version has a top speed of 236 km / h and consumes 7.5 liters of fuel per 100 km (174 g / km CO2). This engine can also be ordered with the BlueMotion technology (BMT) changes. In this case, fuel consumption is reduced to 4.8 l/100 km (125 g / km CO2), which represents an improvement of 0.7 liters, compared with the previous model.
