Still onboard are its innovative Karakuri seating and storage system (see box), 45 storage compartments, cockpit with all-round adjustability and a high mountain gear lever, one-touch points in the second row of seats features easy access to the third row, and practical products division kaksivaihemoottorinsa two opening heights (1810 mm and 1910 mm), which prevents scratches in garages and is convenient to use for people of different body sizes. Hull offers a volume of 1678 liters (five-member version of the second row).

Always versatility at its best - Mazda 5 Karakuri seats is seven places and storage system

Mazda 5 Karakuri seating and storage system offers sufficient space to accommodate up to seven people to quickly and easily in a variety of seating arrangements. If you need more luggage space, just fold the third row of seats on the ground floor and has five seats and a large trunk. The Mazda 5 days adds features that make the car easier to use on a daily basis. Black-out meters with improved white lighting, for example, is now the norm. The size of the middle screen (displaying clock, audio and AC info) is now larger, placed higher and further forward, making it easier to read. The decoration of the central panel switches are optimized to change the warning lights and clock setting buttons easy to reach. A new additional (AUX) jack with a niche on the front of the floor console are standard on all models. As before, the DVD navigation system includes a rearview camera, a very useful function when parking or maneuvering in tight spaces. The normal CD player now plays MP3-formatted CDs, a 6-disc CD is now available, and a Bluetooth telephone system with steering wheel and voice command (depending on category).
Mazda 5 facelift - up to a more peaceful place

New version of the Mazda5 is not only more comfortable and easier to use, is also a quiet place, so the compartment even more communicative and relaxing. Engine noise, for example, was reduced (all engines) by the introduction of a multi-resonator around the inlet of fresh air. It has six different types of resonators that are designed to reduce noise at frequencies between 80 and 470 Hz noise from the road was also reduced by increasing the stiffness of the tires and alloy wheels. This reduces the vibration of wheel load, which is transmitted to the body and experienced as road noise by passengers, by 1 dB. And, Thinsulate insulation sheeting has been added to the lining of the roof, which absorbs road noise sharp (250 Hz and above) transmitted through the hull.

Motor - greater fuel efficiency, less CO 2 and automatic transmission

Mazda Press and reduce the impact of its vehicles on the environment continues with the Mazda 5 facelift, which has an updated engine line remote that uses less fuel and produce fewer emissions. Liter gasoline 2.0-liter that produces 107 to 6500 rpm kW/146PS, underwent a major upgrade. It now comes with the gas electric, even for the more lively pedal response, and sequential distribution (S-VT) which improves cylinder charging efficiency for more torque throughout the rev range. This allowed engineers to make a maximum torque of 185 Nm available at a lower speed, which now stands at just 4000 rpm (500 rpm earlier than the outgoing engine).

On MZR 2.0-liter gasoline can be combined with a new five-speed automatic (see box) or a recent introduction manual transmission with six speeds, which further increases the dynamism of the gasoline engine high end. The ratio six-speed manual gear measures more closely with a newly introduced electric throttle and S-VT, deliver a sensitive and powerful drive with improved elasticity. Mazda 5 facelift with this new engine is 0-100km / h in 10.2 seconds versus 10.8 seconds of the power train output (with five-speed manual). His sixth report is prepared to reduce fuel consumption at high speed cruise. Combined with the new S-VT, which improves fuel economy at low speed and the coefficient of Mazda 5 is low drag (Cd) of just 0.29, and has a powerful cover of the range petrol version that uses only 7, 9 liters per 100 km (combined), which is 0.3 liters or 4 percent less than the previous model's 2.0-liter gasoline.

Mazda updated 2.0-liter liters of petrol also produces fewer emissions. An oxygen sensor is added to the exhaust system is a tight coupling catalyst and under floor catalytic converter, which helps the engine control module to optimize the air-fuel mixture to keep emissions as low as possible. This, combined with better fuel efficiency, as described above, means updated liter 2.0 liter producing 11 g CO / km less than the outgoing engine 2.

New five-speed automatic

The new five-speed automatic with manual shift mode of the 2.0-liter MZR engine, the Mazda 5, the first line-up. This is a new torque converter that achieves an optimal balance between performance and fuel efficiency, reducing energy loss produced by slip, using a wide range of prison and acceleration slip control function. These characteristics, combined with special tuning an electronic throttle of the engine to produce positive acceleration in response to a transmission and agile city streets and highways.

Used is 1.8 liters per liter of petrol five-speed manual from the outgoing model, known for its flexible nature, fun and frugal. It produces 85 kW/115 hp at 5300 rpm power and a maximum torque of 165 Nm at 4000 rpm. Its needs just 7.6 liters of fuel per 100 km (combined), 0.3 liter, 4 percent less than before, and produces 8 g / km of CO 2e

The liter-CD 2.0-liter common rail turbo diesel is retained as well. It comes in two power derivatives, a Standard Power version producing 81 kW/110 hp at 3500 rpm and maximum torque of 310 Nm at only 2,000 rpm, and a High Power version producing 105 kW/143 hp at 3500 rpm and a maximum torque of 360 Nm robust to 2,000 rpm. Both versions use a variable geometry turbocharger for maximum torque at low engine speeds, ensuring lively pedal response, with a dual-mass flywheel and technology injection common rail multi-stage (with up to six injections per cycle) for smooth, almost at essence, as the operation. The effectiveness of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler has been improved for the Mazda 5 facelift. Both diesel derivatives are equipped with a six-speed manual transmission as standard. They use just 6.1 liters per 100 km (combined), 0.2-liter, 3 percent less than the outgoing engine and produces 162 g / km of CO 2, which is 11 g / km less.

A diesel particulate filter (DPF) remains standard for diesel versions.

Driving dynamics and safety - Updates suspension for extra stability

The original Mazda 5 was one of the first new Mazda vehicles to employ high-strength steel hull for an ideal combination of low weight combined with high torsional and bending stiffness. The facelift version inherits this robust structure and adds suspension updates front and back for improved driving stability and optimum comfort. The new shock absorbers for the MacPherson strut front suspension reduce the lag between the damping force of compression and extension. The multilink rear suspension forward lateral links are now raised by 2 mm, which increases toe-in with 30%. These updates help further increase grip and stability in the corners of the Mazda 5 facelift at high speeds, especially with a full load of passengers and baggage.

Original Mazda 5 were placed in 33 points and received five stars in Euro NCAP, which is still one of the highest rankings in this category. Mazda 5 facelift retains this safe and strong body, and its unique triple H structure, six airbags and collapsible brake pedal. In addition to this, active safety is enhanced by an improved brake response. The brake booster has been optimized to accelerate the increase in fluid pressure when the driver of the first steps on the brake pedal more positive feedback. Navigate to the number of options, such as a lighting system and automatic rain sensors also contribute to active safety. Large ventilated disc brakes front and solid rear disc brakes, four-channel ABS, EBD and Brake Assist as standard. The DSC system, combined with the traction control system (TCS) is standard or optional, depending on the category and market.

The new LED rear combination lamps that are part of the Sport Appearance, not only in the Design Plus, the Mazda 5 facelift is also evident following cars. The taillights use 12 LEDs each, which increases the brightness and makes them easier to see when deceleration occurs. Also in 0.15 seconds faster than incandescent bulbs when the brakes are applied. They also use far less energy: only 9 instead of 52 watts.
