This is some information about the Chevrolet Cruze elegant sedan. 2011 Chevrolet Cruze with a handsome design that speaks to the size of the vehicle. In the end the higher trim levels or with the optional RS aero package, we could even say it's elegant, added brightwork to add class and skirt package provides a lower view reminiscent of European sporty sedans.

We usually do not dedicate as much time as they design elements are often best appreciated though photography, but a few items on the Cruze's important to put forward. For starters there is a strong Bodyline and three-window designs that add length to the car. The high beltline gives the appearance of sophisticated - but not so high that affect visibility (Camaro we're looking at you). Then there's the bold front end. And finally, the view extends from the lamp to help make the car look wider than that, while the rake angle lights reduce the appearance of the front overhang - is the inevitable part of the front wheel of a car.

Taking samples from 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, the Korean-built Euro-spec and stated that the car had to save GM. Since then we have been bombarded with rhetoric about how global IS compact will be different, are prepared from scratch as a world-beater that would sell in the United States as the aspirations of the compact (oxymoron alert!). We have convincing evidence of the pudding will be in the tasting, and chef today has called us into the kitchen to lick the beaters like some cooks add a pinch of the end of the calibration tuning and repair the line before Cruze out of the oven this September.

On hand for our taste test is a competitive benchmark of two vehicles, Coty Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla winner (either 1.8 liters), and three 1.4-liter turbo Cruzes: a 2LT (upscale trim at 70 percent of North American chassis setup will get Cruzes), Eco-fuel economy is optimized, and top-shelf LTZ-optimized handling. Our drive is limited to repeat the six-miles of pavement surface mix in the loop and the evaluation of GM's Milford Proving Grounds.

Before we share the savory sensation, let's recap some basics. First, the Cruze - the fourth to start the whole world - share the most major hardware with global doppelgangers. Whatever we can be installed on the Cruze to other global Cruze if market conditions dictate, but in general we will become the most highly refined. Differentiators vis-a-vis the least refined version (Chinese market), including an acoustic-laminated windshield and a large package of Voice-off (many of which are divided by-Euro diesel Cruze, such as expanding foam in the body cavity, mastic-sandwich firewall, headliner five-layer, triple sealing doors, etc.)

Chassis-wise, all hardware is global, but tuning is a Euro-spec tweaks mainly to accommodate us all-season tires. Chevy clever twist on the rear suspension trailing twist-beam-including cast trailing arm cross tube welded into the car with the center-creased to establish the location of U. Lateral is through sophisticated Watts link. Various versions of the tube using the Delta architecture with a variety of wall thickness and different orientation of the U-shape. For example, to save weight, this model is not without links Watt Eco-oriented and U at an angle of 65 degrees.


All other U.S. Watt equipped Cruzes-90-degree orientation (ecos also get a thin-wall castings trailing-arm cribbed from Volt). Chassis enjoys an unusual degree of isolation for the class, with hydraulic bushings in front of the control group and the rear trailing arms, hydraulic engine mount, and an isolated engine cradle.

New 2011 Chevrolet Cruze to compete in the segment offers a compact-car-price "more interior room, more miles per gallon in Eco's model, and more standard safety features than its competitors.

For the price of a compact car, Cruze offers styling, safety features, roominess, amenities and much more expensive car repairs. While some of our competitors may have a low starting price, Cruze won this competition once optioned up value.

New Chevrolet Orlando MPV Shows up in Paris (With Live Pictures)

Finally, we've got live pics of the new Chevy Orlando. Essentially the General's answer to the European mid-size MPV question, the small, Cruze-based 7-seater had a bunch of promise back when it originally debuted as a concept.

Somewhere between there and this year's Paris Motor Show, all the old, Judge Whitey executives in the General's back pocket found a way to crush any chance of it being cool by turning the stocky little MPV into an ass-in-the-air high-ish-riding mini-minivan...unless there's an air suspension system I don't know about.

You can see that the interior keeps the decent styling inherited from its platform-mate and appears to actually be sourced from the original concept. Too bad the same can't be said for the rest.

When this little box goes on sale in early 2011, methinks the best things about the whole package are the trick dashboard cubby and its two available diesel torque-makers.

Holden's HSV Considering 286 hp Twin-Turbo Cruze to Compete With Focus RS

When Holden axed its Opel-sourced Astra small car in Australia in 2009, it also dealt a death blow to Holden Special Vehicle's wicked 177kw (237 hp) / 320Nm VRX hot hatch. Now the high performance brand is searching for a replacement for its entry level model, setting its sights on the Daewoo / Chevrolet-sourced Cruze.

In the event that Opel does come to Australia as a stand-alone brand, HSV is looking for its own hot hatch to go up against the likes of the Focus RS and Subaru WRX, and the Australian developed Cruze 5dr hatchback is on the cards.

In a recent interview with news site GoAuto, HSV Managing Director Phil Harding confirmed that HSV was investigating a performance version of the Cruze:

"I am not saying we are doing it, but we are looking at it. We would be silly if we didn't."

Mr. Harding also stated that the proposed model would have to fit in with HSV's brand image, delivering performance, driving pleasure and style.

"I am not going to screw with the brand by getting it wrong," he added.

The Cruze may use the same 213kw (286 hp), 2.0 L twin-scroll turbo-four destined for the upcoming Opel Astra OPC / Vauxhall Astra VRX in late 2011. As both the new Astra and the Cruze are based on GM's Delta II platform, it would be a comparatively simple job to transplant the engine from one to the other. When asked about this, Mr. Harding was dismissive:

"We are looking at a couple of options."

The Cruze may also need suspension upgrades and front end modifications to handle the expected FWD torque steer, as its torsion beam rear suspension is not as sophisticated as the independent rear setup on competitors like the Focus RS.

The Cruze hatch will follow its sedan sibling into production at Holden's Elizabeth plant in the second half of 2011, with a wagon variant possible in the future.

GM Preparing Demo Fleet of 202HP Cruze EVs for South Korea

South Korea is really getting serious about electric vehicles. Following the news last week of a Kia CUV EV to join Hyundai's BlueOn i10, GM has announced it will build a demonstration fleet of battery-powered Chevrolet Cruze sedans from the end of October.

The cars will be deployed in Seoul, with GM planning on testing them in other, unspecified urban markets at a later date. The idea is to test the market needs and consumer acceptance of battery electric vehicles and to gather data on real-world driving patterns and charging behavior.

The demonstration vehicles will be badged both as Daewoos (as the Lacetti Premiere) and Chevrolets (as the Cruze), despite the fact the latter is not sold in South Korea.

The project is a joint venture between GM Daewoo, LG Chem (who make the batteries) and LG Electronics (who make the motor and invertors). GM and LG Chem have been working together since 2008 with this being their second project together after the Chevrolet Volt.

The Cruze EV features an underbody-mounted 31-kwh battery and an electric motor producing 150 kw (equal to 202-horsepower). Tthe demonstration vehicles can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) in 8.2 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 165 km/h (102.5 mph). Tests by LG Chemical estimate that the driving range could be up to 160 km, with a recharge time of 8 to 10 hours on a standard 220 volt outlet.

GM has yet to reveal how many cars will be built or who exactly will be testing them, though these details will probably come with the launch October.

As promised, here are the respective promotional videos of Chevrolet's Paris Motor Show-bound Aveo sub-compact, Captiva 7-seater SUV, Orlando 7-seater MPV and the Cruze five-door hatchback. From these four cars, only the Aveo has been confirmed for the U.S market with sales of both the five-door variant and the yet-to-be-revealed sedan model to start sometime in 2011.

Chevy Cruze Hatchback Interior Snapped before Paris Unveiling

While we're on the topic of bringing you pics of GM's debuts, here is the interior of the Paris Motor Show Cruze Hatchback. Much like the Orlando, the interior shouldn't come as a shock. After all, this is just a Chevy Cruze wearing a backpack.

The Cruze Hatchback, which was designed by Holden in Australia, will appear in Paris as a pre-production Chevy show car; however, as we recently showed you, it will also appear Down Under wearing a Holden nose and badges. As for North America, there's no telling as of right now (but keep your fingers crossed).

Under the hood we'll get the regular Cruze engine options, meaning your choice of a 113-horsepower 1.6-liter (gas), a 141-horsepower 1.8-liter (gas), or a 123-horsepower 2.0-liter turbodiesel. One wonders if the car may one day show up with the Orlando's high-output diesel engine.

Either way, the new Focus hatchback is going to have some stiff style competition when vying for consumer cash. Oh, and we need to get a high-output gasoline four-banger under the hood pronto to give the Focus ST something to worry about.
