Chevrolet Spark

The production version of Chevrolet's new B-segment car will take center stage on Chevrolet's stand at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show. First seen in concept form alongside the Trax and Groove at the 2007 New York Auto Show, members of the public were asked to vote for their preferred design online and the car known then as the Beat received a unanimous vote.

Fast-forward to 2009 and the Beat has now become the Spark and gained an additional two doors, though the interior has retained the concept's two-tier IP design. As the most recent interpretation of Chevrolet's new global design strategy the Spark's exterior styling is designed to appeal to both young and mature drivers, while its angular cab-forward cabin is claimed to provide a great deal of passenger space thanks to the car's wheel-at-each corner layout.

Powered by 1.0 and 1.2-liter engines, the Spark goes on sale in Europe later this year and will also be sold in the USA, India and other global markets.
