Built on Nissan's manufacturing facility in Smyrna, Tenn., the Suzuki Equator features a 2.5-liter DOHC fuel inline four has 152 horses and 171 Nm torque or an optional 4.0 liter V6 DOHC leads its category 261 hp with 281 Nm of torque. Designed for optimum performance and durability, the Equator V6 engine has cast iron block aluminum cylinder liners, forged steel crankshaft, honing crankshaft and camshafts, Teflon �-coated pistons, variable valve timing and a quiet two-stage timing chain.
The Ecuador-new design features a modern exterior with a number of unique Suzuki elements, including hood, front fenders, grille, bumpers, front and rear fascia. Ecuador Extended Cab and Crew Cab models offer great value bed available that includes a factory-applied spray of bedliner and an extensive tie-down system with adjustable tracks, providing the maximum load carrying flexibility through the use of five special " C "section rails mounted in the bed (two channels in the floor of the bed and each bed side rails and header panel). Removable utility cleats slide into the channels, providing a wide range of attachment points for securing cargo - including Suzuki motorcycles or ATVs. Suzuki will also offer specialized accessories that make the bed load transport security and a motorcycle or ATV easier than in many competitive trucks.
Inside
Suzuki Equator offers the driver and up to four passengers a functional interior that combines versatility, cargo utility, comfort and convenience. Both styles of Cab and Crew Cab body function folding rear seat fold-flat front passenger and removable storage boxes hidden under the rear seats to provide additional cargo capacity. Equator offers additional convenience features such as a dual glove box with lock, damper and lamp, center console storage and storage liter bottles integrated into the front doors. A host of cupholders and power points are standard in the truck. Cabin equator will also available with leather seats, including power-adjustable driver's seat, heated seats, heated mirrors and a factory installed sunroof.
Safety and Packages
The all-new Ecuador includes an extensive list of standard safety equipment, including building area of ??the body deformation front and rear, dual-stage front air bags, sensors booster seat belt and occupant sensor classification, three-point front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters system and tire pressure. To make the story even stronger security, Ecuador is equipped with car seats, front airbags and side curtain airbags for additional side impact rollover protection for front passengers and rear side. Additionally, Extended Cab and Crew Cab models provide three-point seatbelts for all rear seat occupants, including center position of the cab. LATCH (Lower Anchors and for children) anchorage system for child seats is available in the back seat of the Crew Cab models.
Designed to match Suzuki's performance-oriented cross motorcycles, the RMZ-4 concept offers rugged off-road in a double cabin. This concept is based on the equator, built by Carlab Orange, California, has a number of exterior modifications, including a bed extender provided by Amp Research, an attractive graphic treatment, 18-inch chrome wheels black lights Luzlab specialties. The truck impressive exterior is offset by an impressive sound system that includes an Alpine HD-Radio unit connected to Rockford Fosgate amp and speaker components.
