The Veyron has three diving modes that allow it conserve power, even at the highest speeds.

It needs only 270-280 horsepower to maintain speeds of 250 km/h, Like the Grand Sport, the Veyron's ceramic brakes slow it down faster than it can accelerate: it takes only 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h but it takes 2.3 seconds to come to a standstill from 100 km/h.

The car is made of titanium, carbon, magnesium and aluminum--the lightest metals available, and some of the most expensive.
